The Bandits 5 – 5 The Hooters

The Game started fast and physical as expected, The hooters known for their aggressive tactics and violent conduct were no different as they started strong with plenty of hooking, slashing and checking (even though its a non-checking league) The Bandits gave as good in return with the game heating up right from the off.

The Bandits 11 – 2 Demon Slayers

The bandits come out strong in their 1st League match of the season and also the 1st match together as a team.  The demon slayers started rushed and scrappy and from the start were chasing the game.

It took a few minutes for The bandits to get in the swing of things and were at least 6 goals in front by the 10 minute mark.  The demons slotted 2 quick PP goals due to sloppy defending before the bandits called a timeout to re-structure and go back out and take control of the game yet again.

The refs slowed the game down many times in an un-biased attempt (Hmmm) to bring the Slayers back into the Match, sending various Bandits to the penalty box for Unknown reasons.  This did not stop the bandits from counter attacking putting 2 short-handed goals away before the mid-way point.

the game yet again slowed down due to more penalties this time from both teams as the game started to heat up in the last quarter.

Dan Thon Had little to do in The bandits Net but stood his ground when needed.

Both teams looked tired going into the last few minutes but the bandits dug in deep to finish up strong just like they did at the start of the game.  Nothing came of the embarressing referees and immature inexperienced Demon Squad as the Final score ended 11-2 in The bandits favor…

Man of the Match was awarded to Russell Burch for making an impact with his 4 goals and quality playmaking, let alone the grit and determination he demonstrated throughout the whole game.

All round a great performance from the whole team.
